Quality, Guarantees & After Sales


Work Rest Play will pass to the customer all rights and guarantees set by the manufacturer of the goods. In no case shall the liability of Work Rest Play exceed that of the manufacturer of the goods.

Goods subjected to unfair wear and tear, misuse, defective maintenance, alteration or modification, are excluded from this guarantee.

In the rare occasion when it may be required, we shall have the option to repair, replace or at its sole discretion, refund to the buyer the price of the goods without any further liability.

All descriptions, specifications, drawings and particulars of weights and dimensions submitted by the Company or otherwise contained in the Company’s web-site, price lists or other published matter are approximate only and none of these shall form part of any contract or give rise to any independent or collateral liability upon the Company being intended merely to present a general idea of the Goods as described therein.

Quality management can be considered in three main parts:

1. Quality Control

Goods manufactured by our suppliers, all of whom hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, have rigorous checks prior to dispatch. We arrange international transport and the goods are checked once again on arrival at our store. Our computerized systems encourage an early awareness of any issues such that they can be addressed where possible in advance of delivery.

2. Quality Assurance

All our products are offered with a minimum 5 years manufacturers guarantee should a repair or replacement become necessary. It is in our interest to offer the best quality service levels to our clients as we rely heavily on repeat business and recommendations to others.

3. Quality Improvement

Our suppliers are continually launching new products and improving existing ones. We strive to keep our client base aware of these developments with a regular mail shot. Quality improvements can also be considered from an environmental point of view. All timber products are produced using timber from renewable sources and hold certificates to support this. Recent advances have been in the production of furniture which is 100% recyclable. For instance fabric on upholstered chairs is no longer bonded to the foam with adhesive making it feasible that replacement covers could be used, increasing the lifetime of the chair and therefore reducing the overall cost. This improvement shows benefits both to the end user and the environment.

Internal Quality Procedures:

1. Quality Control

Work Rest play are proud of our portfolio of products. We carefully select our suppliers who offer quality furniture at competitive prices with a minimum 5 year guarantee. Following the rigorous external quality checks within the factory environment our goods are packaged  for international transport. Our rigorous checks of the packaging and furniture elements from early arrival to our stores and our computerized tracking systems encourage an early awareness of any issues such that they can be addressed where possible in advance of the installation. All snagging is reported to our Quality Manager to arrange for parts or replacements as a matter of urgency. We pride ourselves in the rarity of this as we choose carefully which transport companies to work in partnership with and concentrate on those experienced with furniture handling.

2. Quality Assurance

3. After-sales service arrangements

Following completion of installation the client will sign off the installation and, if necessary, a snagging list is drawn up. Snagging will be completed as a matter of urgency. A close relationship is maintained between client and supplier on all aspects of snagging. Should any repairs or replacements become necessary the client should contact our office directly where a service call-out is generated. If necessary, a visual inspection of the product will be carried out within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) and a replacement or repair arranged. Where possible, repairs will be carried out on site with 3 working days. Where an on-site repair is not possible we endeavor to return the product to site within 5 days Replacement of product will be carried out within 2 weeks. Where this is not possible we endeavor to arrange a comparable product on loan within 3 working days.

After Sales

Work Rest Play staff are dedicated to ensuring that each sale has our full attention and expertise.

Our fully qualified interior designer can offer advice and guidance in all matters relating to space planning, product selection, fabric and colour selection. We can very easily ensure that you get the best from your space.

Our service levels are very high, but obviously sometimes there can be an issue with delivery, slight damage of a table top and other unfortunate circumstances.  Work Rest Play have an excellent snagging and follow up procedure after identifying the problem we will re-order or fix the issue giving our clients an exact time frame for when this will happen.  We will follow this up with a call to make sure the issue is completely resolved and our client is 100% happy.
